Cabled Double Eyelet Beret
This is a feminine beret that goes well with casual and slightly dressier outfits. It can be made from a warm wool or a softer, fancier alpaca silk. The hat is the picture was made using Malabrigo Worsted in color Polar Morn, but it has been made using Cascade 220 Superwash (which yields a smaller hat) and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.
This hat will stretch and fits heads from 19” to 22”. It uses size 6 (4 mm) and size 8 (5 mm) 16” circular needles, and size 8 double point needles to finish. There are instructions for a slightly larger hat using larger needles, size 7 (4.5 mm) and size 9 (5.5 mm) 16” and size 9 double point needles.
