Cabled Trellis Hat
This hat has a simple latticework/trellis cable around the body that flows from the ribbed brim. It’s then finished with a closed cable that mimics the top of a picket fence, and a swirled decrease top, with variations on the style of decrease.
This is a quick knit that you can finish in about 6 to 10 hours, and the cable motif is easy enough to remember without having to check back on the directions for every stitch.
It is sized for SM, M, and LG by increasing the number of motif sections used. The lattice motif is both charted and written out.
This is a great stash buster, as it only takes one skein of worsted weight yarn (100 gr). Perfect to use up that leftover skein from that pretty Aran sweater you just finished.
Please note, this pattern was adjusted from the original test pattern due to the testers’ desire for more length. An extra cable section was added.
