YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE:
For bulky machines choose worsted weight yarn that gets 4 stitches per inch. For mid-gauge machines try a sport or DK yarn that gets 5 stitches per inch. For standards and Passaps use fingering weight that gets 7 stitches per inch. The relaxed shape of this cardigan makes it unnecessary to match gauge perfectly. Set the stitch size for a slightly
looser than normal stitch to facilitate cable crossing. The looser than normal stitch size is likely to make the row gauges a bit looser than usual. The pattern is written basedon likely row gauges of 57, 9
per inch.
