Cables and Lattice Stole
This is a pretty stole (scarf) that has lots of cables and lace (in the form of lattices). This is suitable for advanced beginners and experienced knitters as well. If you are familiar with cables this is not too complicated and if cables are new to you this would make for a beautiful project to learn with. This can be made wider by adding additional 26 stitch repeats. It also works up wonderfully in heavier weight yarns to make a blanket!
Gauge:
Roughly 20 stitches and 20 rows for 4 inches stockinette (although gauge is not terribly important for this pattern)
Finished dimensions:
Unblocked: 45 inches long by 15 inches wide
Blocked: 56 inches long by 23 inches wide
Materials:
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn (140 grams) (other weights could be substituted - adjust the needle size and number of cast on stitches accordingly)
Needles and Notions:
- 4mm (US size 6) circular (or straight) needles or size necessary to achieve gauge
- Cable needle
- Tapestry (darning) needle
- 5 Stitch markers (if desired to mark between the pattern repeats)
The pattern is charted only.
