Cabo Cardi
The nature of the lace and the cotton/linen blend used in this pattern means that this fabric is going to grow in length by about 20% after a few wears. The gauge listed above is measured after blocking, but not after wear. Thus, the measurements in the diagram and listed in the pattern are intentionally shorter than desired to allow for this growth over time.
A note about the construction: this cardigan is knit in one piece from the back hem to the beginning of the neckline, then split and both front sides are worked separately. There’s no shaping, as the drawstring will pull the waist in at the end. Once the main knit piece is completed, it’s folded in half and you sew up each side seam.
ERRATA:
Early versions of the pattern contained a chart that was one stitch too wide. The written instructions for the vining lace pattern are correct. The chart should be 8 stitches wide. If your copy of the pattern has a 9-stitch chart, please cross out the column for stitch 1 and repeat only stitches 2-9. The correct chart can be found here: http://nocturnalknits.com/?attachment_id=946
