Cadence beanie

A cadence, or drum cadence, is a piece of music played exclusively by the percussion section of a marching band. It’s the fun drum piece played between the larger works where the entire band participates.
As a former band kid, and the Mom of a band kid (a percussionist), I’m pretty fond of a good cadence. This adorably striped beanie has an interesting striping pattern that pulls you into its rhythm as it marches it’s way to the crown.
A great project to practice your stranded knitting technique and a fairly quick and easy knit that you can bang out before another marching band season passes us by!
