What a fun way to try some colorwork knitting by using a slip stitch pattern. You only work with one color at a time, so it is easy for all skill levels. Pick two contrasting colors to knit up this eye-catching cowl.

Materials
• SweetGeorgia Superwash Worsted (100% superwash merino wool; 200 yds/182 m to 4 oz / 115 g): 1 hank each Lollipop (MC) and Tumbled Stone (CC)

• US Size 9 (5.5 mm) needles; adjust as necessary to achieve gauge

• Tapestry needle

• Scrap Yarn

• US Size I Crochet Hook (5.5 mm)

Gauge 16½ sts and 22 rows = 4” / 10 cm in blocked stockinette pattern

Pattern Notes The cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is joined together using the 3-needle bind off. You may use a stockinette stitch graft to close the cowl if you prefer. As you are knitting, carry the color not used up the side of the cowl.
