This fun and stylish poncho is perfect for covering up on those cooler summer nights. Its versatility will take you all the way from spring, through summer and into the fall.

Unlike some ponchos the shoulders on the Café Au Lait Summer Shell Poncho are fitted. They follow the natural shape of your own shoulders so that it wears much like a fitted caplet. Pattern comes in S-M and L-XL.

I designed my Shell Poncho using an ombre color scheme, you can chose to use any color(s) you like for your poncho.

Materials
With Love by Red Heart Yarns. Approx 1050- 1100 yards total for size S-M. Approx 1250-1300 yards total for L-XL size. Sample shown in size S-M- in White, Tan and Brown (1 skein each) - or another similar worsted weight yarn in your choice of color(s).
6.0mm (J) hook- or hook needed to obtain gauge

Special Stitches

SH- Shell
2dc. Ch2. 2dc in same st/space. First SH of every round will be Ch3. 1dc. Ch2. 2dc in same st/space.

INC SH- Increase Shell
1dc. Ch2. 2dc. Ch3. 2dc. Ch2. 1dc] in same st/space.

CNR SH- Corner Shell (counts as SH in stitch counts at end of rows)
2dc. Ch3. 2dc in same st/space.

Work in Pattern
SH in every SH (or Ch2). CNR SH in every CNR SH (or Ch3). Over INC SH work as follows; SH in first Ch2. CNR SH in center/Ch3. SH in next Ch2.
