Caledonia gets its name from the old Roman word for Scotland. The Argyle cabled diamond and twisted stitch pattern with the textured pattern conjures up the spirit of the Scotland highlands. The modern shape of the jumper creates a garment that will look at home in the wild highlands as well as in the trendy city.

Caledonia is a slightly cropped jumper with set in sleeves. It is knitted in DK weight Lore from The Fibre Company. The jumper is worked flat in pieces: back, front and two sleeves. The pieces are worked from the ribbed bottom edging up. The neckband is picked up from the neck cast-off edge and knitted in the round. The lower part of the garment and sleeves has an Argyle diamond pattern constructed from a cable and twisted stitch pattern against a background of reverse stocking stitch; the upper parts have a textured moss stitch pattern. The cable pattern can be worked from a chart or from written instructions as you prefer.
