The bold central cable on the Calesco Hat goes sideways around the hat instead of from top to bottom. The hat has simple design lines where the bouncy, squishy, textured boucle yarn does the talking. Calesco is the Latin word for warm, and this hat will keep you warm and cosy.

The cable band is worked flat starting with a provisional cast on. The provisional cast on is then undone and the start and end joined with a 3 needle bind off to form a tube. Stitches are picked up along each edge to work the band and the crown portions in the round.
