California Poppies Hat
A superbloom is a rare desert botanical phenomenon in which an unusually high proportion of wildflowers whose seeds have lain dormant in desert soil germinate and blossom at roughly the same time.

Inspired by the glorious Super Bloom in 2019, California Poppies is a pattern for Fingering/Sock weight knit hat worked in the round and using the Fair-Isle knitting technique.

Fingering; 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere goat; 385yds (350m) /114g
approximate yarn amounts:
MC (Elephant) -132yds (120m); 39g; 1 skein or 2 skeinettes

This pattern also includes a pdf for fingering/sock weight Shetland wool. The pattern is basically the same, but Shetland yarn behaves a bit different and this version compensates for that.
