Inspired by classic American quilts, this cozy blanket is fully customizable. By simply changing the colors or rearranging the three different blocks, you can make a throw that’s at home in a quirky mid-century bungalow, a polished uptown loft, or anywhere you can imagine. This blanket will surely be the gift that’s talked about for decades to come.

Each block of the Call and Response Throw is worked as a mitered garter stitch square. To create the contrast details, two balls of MC and one ball1 of CC are worked, one at a time, with intarsia wrapping holding the colored sections together. The blocks are then assembled and stitches are picked up around the edge and a thin garter stitch border is added before binding off in the round for a sleek finish.
