Calypso the Frizzle Chicken
Join in TOFT’s Spring CAL from 15th-26th April, where you can crochet along with Kerry Lord and learn how to make Calypso the Frizzle Chicken! You can watch daily step-by-step videos to accompany the pattern on our @toft_uk Instagram TV feed during these dates, and the videos will remain on Instagram afterwards for you to take part at a time that suits you and your group of friends.
Designed especially for TOFT’s 2024 Easter Egg hunt, this crochet chicken combines five magnificent natural colours of TOFT yarn to produce an elegant and whimsical new addition to the menagerie. A favourite among chicken lovers, these unique and beautiful birds are produced as a result of an incomplete dominant gene that causes their feathers to twist and curl up from their bodies, rather than lying flat – also known as ‘frizzling’.
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet bird kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. Share your progress with the TOFT community on Instagram @toft_uk using the #edsanimals hashtag.
