Camelia
Camelia was originally published in Wild Fibers Magazine in the Winter 2007 issue using handspun Mongolian camel yarn. In 2008 I published a booklet of my favorite Wild Fibers designs in print only featuring all the original “wild” yarns as well as versions in commercially available yarns. These patterns have never been available as digital downloads until now. The booklet photo shoot in 2008 with Don Moore was so much fun and I think the photos are so wonderful, I wanted to include them in the pattern reboots, even though some yarns are discontinued that I used back then. I think they give you a good idea of how flexible the sweaters can be, and will look great in nearly any yarn of your choosing.
Camelia is knit in pieces, side to side, and seamed for structure and stability. The pattern contains notes on how to modify the length of the body and/or the sleeves to get your custom fit.
This is a great pattern for beginning level knitters and is still interesting and fun for experienced knitters too!
