Camelia Tee
It started with the yarn, as so many times before.
When I stumbled upon this beautiful, green, shiny yarn, made of 100% linen, it reminded me of Nuwara Eliya, the tea-region of Sri Lanka. In Nuwara Eliya the hills are covered in green, as far as your eye can reach. The teaplants are cut into softly rounded shapes and are hundreds of years old, soft to the look but rough to the touch. That’s what I wanted to interpret into my Camelia Tee, named after the teabush Latin name - Camelia sinensis.
It’s oversized, softly draping over your shoulder, which are embellished with lacework resembling leafs.
Linen, cotton or silk are perfect for this Tee, it gives it that weight and sense of flow that goes so well together with the pattern.
The Tee has a positive ease of app 1.2”/3cm and is made to fit size 28 (33, 34.5, 38, 42.5, 45, 50, 56) “” / 72 (84, 87, 96.5, 108, 114, 127, 142) cm.
Gauge: 24 sts 34 row = 4x4”/10x10 cm in
stockinette stitch on needles US 4/3.5 mm
You need 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins of fingering weight.
Hope you like it and happy knitting to you all!
