As a lit-crit student, I used to love the concept of ’companion’ books. They helped, they nurtured and the more I learned and read the more they turned into true ‘colleagues’. This is the companion to the very popular Camí de Ronda Mittens, a lovely and quick knit in gorgeously speckled non-superwash Merino d’Arles by Les Petits Points Parisiens

The hat features a fancy folded brim, that you can knit in a 2x2 or 1x1 rib to match the style of your mittens. The crown is particularly lovely, but you can add a pompom for fun and it will look equally sweet.

(The smallest size can fit a tween or kid.)

Cuando estudiaba Crítica Literaria en la universidad, me encantaba el concepto de libros ‘companion’, libros que actuaban como manuales, cajones de sastre con todo lo que podíamos necesitar para entender y leer mejor.

Este es el “companion” de mis Camí de Ronda Mittens, un proyecto monísimo y súper rápido de tejer en un Merino d’Arles moteado y encantador de Les Petits Points Parisiens, con el que ya tejí las manoplas. (Con un sólo ovillo puedes tejer un gorro y las manoplas!)

El gorro tiene un borde doblado hacia afuera, porque soy así de moderna. Puedes tejerlo en elástico 2x2 o 1x1 para que coincida con el estilo de tus mitones. La corona es particularmente encantadora, pero puedes agregarle un pompón para darle el toque divertido y se verá igual de bonita.

(El tamaño más pequeño sirve para un tween o niño grande).

Needles
2.75 mm / US 2 circular needles with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” for ‘magic loop’, dpns or short cable circular needles for ribbing.

3 mm / US 3 circular needles with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” for ‘magic loop’, dpns or short cable circular needles for body.

Gauge
24 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in the round, in stockinette stitch.
