The shape of “Campana Tibetana” was inspired by the Tibetan bell, used in Buddhist religious ceremonies.
“Campana Tibetana” is a little cape, knit top-down from the neckline. It gently drapes over the shoulders and does not interfere with arm movement.
The increases that broaden the cape are “hidden” in various blocks of color. A simple eyelet pattern makes the knitting more interesting.
The borders are enlivened by a simple striped lace pattern.

Neck: 53 (62, 70, 79) cm – 20 ¾ (24 ½, 27 ½, 31) inches circumference.
Length: 30 (32, 34, 36) cm – 11 ¾ (12 ½, 13 ¼, 14 ¼) inches.

Yarn and needles:
MYAK Baby Yak Medium (100% yak: 114 m – 125 yd / 50 gr – 1.76 oz. skein),
First color: Emerald; 2 (2, 2, 3) skeins (171, 200, 228, 257 m – 187, 219, 250, 278 yd);
Second color: Saffron; 1 skein (65, 76, 86, 97 m – 71, 84, 94, 106 yd);
Third color: Desert; 1 (2, 2, 2) skein (108, 126, 143, 161 m – 119, 138, 157, 176 yd).
Circular needles:
4 mm – US 6 with a 60 cm – 24 inch cable. If necessary, an 80cm – 32 inch cable, if you need a longer cable to accommodate all of the stitches.
If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
1 stitch marker.
Tapestry needle and scissors.

Gauge:
18 sts and 26 rounds = 10 cm – 4” in st st (worked in the round and after blocking).

“Campana Tibetana” ha una forma che ricorda una vera e propria campana ed è ispirata, appunto, a questo strumento, sacro per la religione buddista.
“Campana Tibetana” è una piccola cappa lavorata top down a partire dal collo. Si appoggia morbidamente sulle spalle e non dà fastidio alle braccia.
Gli aumenti che allargano e rendono comodo il capo sono “nascosti” all’interno di vari blocchi colorati ed un semplice motivo ad occhielli rende interessante la lavorazione.
I bordi sono ravvivati da un semplice pizzo a righe.
