This pattern celebrates my love of two things: cosy crochet rugs and the glorious colours of Cornwall.

When I first started playing around with this design, my Fancy Nancy Mandala was still fresh in my mind, so I planted a less-fancy version of Nancy it in the middle of the rug.

The rug uses 2 strands of Scheepjes Chunky Monkey held together and a 9mm hook. The colours are so warm and rich, and it is deliciously squishy underfoot.

If you choose to use thinner yarn and a smaller hook, the pattern would make a great mandala or wallhanging - especially if mounted in a hoop.
