The Candi Pullover is a raglan sweater with dotted stripe colorwork knitted in a lofty yarn, making it a joyful and lightweight yet cozy sweater. The color combinations are endless and perfect for using up a small amount of yarn.

CONSTRUCTION

The Candi Pullover is worked flat, top down, and seamlessly. Circular needles are used to work flat, beginning with the yoke that is shaped with raglan increases then joined in the round. Stranded colorwork stripes are begun and the yoke is then divided. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked in colorwork and finished with 1x1 ribbing then bound off.

The sleeves are worked one at a time, placing the held stitches back onto a circular needle, working in colorwork while gradually decreasing to the wrist, finishing with 1x1 ribbing, and bound off.

A folded neckband is made from stitches picked up around the neck opening and worked in 1x1 ribbing to twice the desired height, then folded inward and knitted to the inside of the neck.

SKILLS

This is a written pattern assuming foundational sweater knitting knowledge and is not intended to be beginner friendly. Supplemental research or practice to learn new skills may be required to complete this project.

This pattern requires a working knowledge of knitting flat and in the round, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, reading charts, stranded colorwork, and Italian bind off.

Circular needles are used to work flat and in the round, switching cable lengths as the yoke grows and is divided. The sleeves are worked with the shortest cable length, then DPNs for the wrist.

The suggested cast on and bind off methods can be substituted with any other.
