This design is a wide shallow crescent shaped shawl knitted from the top down. It starts with a wide garter stitch tab and increases at the edges and either side of the central lace panel. The shawl is finished with a lace edging knitted on to cast off the bottom edge of the shawl.

Size 6 seed beads are used in the lace panel and are placed using the crochet hook method. Size 8 seed beads are used in the edging and need to be threaded onto the yarn before starting to knit the edging.

The shawl can be knitted without beads if you prefer.
