Candy is a straightforward hat for intermediate knitters. A simple pattern with a couple of script twists creates a fun treasure map from meeting to pom pom placement. Inspired by Christmas vibes and nordic feelings, Candy is the perfect slouchy beanie for the season!

Model is shown in size 1 with 1 cm / 0.5” of negative ease.
Recommended ease: Approx. 1 cm / 0.5” of negative ease.

Notes on construction

The hat is knitted from bottom to top with double thread in fingering weight the body and crown and adding a mohair thread for the hem. The first part of the hat is the hem that is worked in stockinette stitch and folded over on itself at the end of the hat to hide the seam. The body and the hat’s crown are knitted in circular garter stitch, and the trim can be made with or without a pompom.

You can put a Lovafur vegan fur pompom like the one in the photo or make one with wool. Please note that the indicated yarn requirements do not include the pompom.

YARN REQUIREMENTS

These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on the yarn you use (fibre content, ply, etc.), gauge, and any modifications you may make.

The beanie is knit holding 2 strands together for the body and combining these 2 strands plus a thread of lace weight yarn for the brim. This combination is approx. Equivalent to one strand of sport weight yarn. If substituting one strand of sport weight yarn, yardages will vary. But you will need approx—1 skein to make the complete piece.

• MC: holding two threats together. 375 (380, 390) m / 410 (415, 426) yds.

  CC: holding the two strands plus a mohair threat. 56 (60, 70) m / 61 (65.5, 76.5) yds.

SUGGESTED YARN

For this hat, I chose a baby alpaca and silk yarn blended with cashmere for the warmth, softness and drape in the beanie’s crown. In the brim, I held it together a strand of mohair silk to add strength and a gorgeous halo.

Candy es un gorro sencillo para tejedores intermedios. Un patrón simple con un par de giros en el guión que crea un divertido mapa del tesoro desde el montaje hasta el pompón. Inspirado por las vibras navideñas y el estilo nórdico de los mercadillos, Candy es un gorro caído perfecto para el invierno.

Acerca de la construcción

El gorro está tejido de abajo hacia arriba con doble hilo en grosor fingering y para el dobladillo he añadido una hebra de mohair. La primera parte del gorro es el dobladillo que se trabaja en punto jersey y se dobla sobre sí mismo una vez terminado el gorro, para ocultar la costura. El cuerpo y la corona del gorro están tejidos en punto bobo circular, y el remate se puede hacer con o sin pompón.

Puedes poner un pompón de pelo vegano de Lovafur como el de la foto o hacer uno con lana. Ten en cuenta que las indicaciones de metraje de lana indicadas no incluyen el pompón.

Hilo

Estas medidas son aproximadas. El uso total del hilo dependerá del hilo que utilices (fibra, marca, etc.), tu tensión y cualquier otra modificación que hagas.

El gorro está tejido con 2 hebras de grosor fingering para el cuerpo y añadiendo una hebra de mohair en el dobladillo. Puedes sustituir la doble hebra por un hilo sport pero ten en cuenta que los metrajes cambiarán. Necesitarás aproximadamente 1 madeja para hacer la pieza completa en grosor sport.

Hilo recomendado
