Candy Wrapper
A great way to create a splash this summer with sweeping waves of course.
Starting out with a few beads in a sweet lace border, moving into a favorite wave pattern and ending with a stretchy bind off. Style it as a cowl, wrap or shawl. Create yours in one color or as many as 10. Have fun with it!
Written and charted pattern.
Plus a how to add beads video link included.
Techniques:
Knitted cast on. Knit. Purl, Yarn over, Decreases. Lace knitting, Beading with crochet hook. Stretchy bind off.
Yarn:
It takes just one Layers yarn cake, 200 yards of various fibers and weights hand tied together in just the right proportions. Knit kits/Yarn are available at www.yarnz2GO.com.
Alternatively: Use your stash! You could make your own yarn ball by using 20 yards portions each of lace, fingering and sport weight yarns in various textures, colors or tone on tone for a more muted look and knot them together with a single knot. Be sure to really make it tight, so it won’t come apart when knitting. Cut excess away.
