Candyland Cap
Candyland Cap is a special tribute to sugary sweetness. It has an attractive candy cane look topped off with a very appealing fur pom pom. The pattern is easy and can be completed in one weekend.
Starting with the Estonian Cast On method, a variation on the longtail cast on in which every other stitch is cast on for a knit stitch, and every other stitch is cast on for a purl stitch. This makes it a very stretchy cast on that works best for 1x1 ribbing. Don’t’ be fooled by the interlocking dual colors look, the entire hat is completed by using only one color at a time. The sections for later decreases are designated early and make this truly an easy project to accomplish.
You will need:
1 ball (or 110 yds) of main color Dark Coral color # 308852, and 1 ball (or 71 yds) of coordinating color Pearl color # 100002.
1 Fur Pom Pom and one ½inch button to fasten the Pom Pom on the inside.
6 removable markers.
