About Cannoli:
After seeing the super gradient yarns from The Blue Brick, I knew I had to cast on a piece that would really put the yarn on display. Cannoli is just the thing, half poncho, half cowl, all brioche. This squishy goodness can be put on dozens of different ways without having to fuss with it falling off your shoulders throughout the day. It’s simple construction and strong geometric lines will add a pop of luxury to any outfit.

Cannoli is knit in the round with consistent, simple to remember shaping. It is a great beginner’s brioche project. The long spines along the front and back draw the eye vertically with a very slimming effect. This is a great piece to throw on over a tank and some skinny jeans with or without a killer leather jacket.

Yarn:
Yardage:
MC: 1000 yards, 2 skeins,
CC: 874 yards, 2 skeins,

MC: “Prairie Storm” Niagara MCN, The Blue Brick, 70% merino, 15% nylon, 15% cashmere. (500 yards, 150grams)

CC: “Natural” Sock, Hedgehog Fibers, 90% Merino, 10% Nylon.
(420 yards, 100grams)

You will need more of your main colour than of your contrasting colour, if you’re working with regular (400yards/100g) skeins of fingering, I would recommend getting 3 of your MC and 2 of your CC.
3,5mm circular needles. I used a 24” cable.
2 stitch markers
Tapestry needle

Gauge:
Using 3,5 mm in Brioche: 16 sts x 28 rounds 4”/10cm.
Gauge here doesn’t matter much, I’d recommend shooting for a fabric you like over a specific number.

Sizing:
Circumference at top: 33,5”/85cm
Length at longest point: 65”/165cm
Circumference at bottom: 109.5”/278cm
Width of bottom edging: 5”/13cm
