Canopy Bag
The Canopy Bag is a tapestry crochet colorwork design that sources inspiration from African wooden sculptures, the lush swaying greenery seen in the mountains, and the crown shyness phenomenon in tree canopies.
Experiment with color, learn new crochet techniques, and sport this bag to your next sip and stitch as a glorious project bag, or even as an everyday tote!

NOTES
This bag is constructed/worked seamlessly, in-the-round, with continuous rounds. This bag is constructed in four major sections: (1) the rectangular base, (2) the body of the bag, (3) the sewn cotton lining, and (4) the D-ring tab + removable shoulder/crossbody strap combo.
The project features a single crochet through the back loop only (sc-blo), which creates a beautifully braided horizontal texture on the fabric.
Note that the instructions for the base are written and charted, while the body is charted only, and the leather/crochet shoulder strap is written only.
