Note:
Swedish caps are very varied and are often knitted completely double like a long tube shaped at each end. One half is folded inside the other, giving additional warmth and, because it is not seen, this half may be in plain yarn. The outer section may be patterned in many ways and also usually has a turn back brim which means four folds of material to keep ears warm in the coldest weather.

This cap is not double but is based on a traditional design worn by the famous Swedish fiddlers. A chevron pattern forms the brim while the main section is worked in a knitted version of an often used weaving pattern known as the goose-eye pattern.
