Cape Cottage
Cape Cottage is the second pattern in my New England Village eBook.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Cape Cod architecture is one of the most instantly recognizable home styles in the U.S. An original Cape Cod house is a small, rectangular one to one-and-a-half-story cottage with a steep pitched roof to keep snow from piling up. The cleaning cloth is worked in mosaic garter stitch, just one strand of color works every two rows. Gauge and dimensions are provided in a light worsted weight yarn. Choose colors that contrast well. Try your camera’s “black & white” setting to look at your yarns in grayscale and check the contrast between your selection(s). The pattern provides full written instructions with (optional) positive and negative charts for making useful household linens and gifts!
