We have all seen the temperature blankets that span an entire year; but Mikey, from The Crochet Crowd, and I always struggle with going the entire year. We thought what if we shorten up the time frame, would that work? And that’s how the Capricious Knit Scarf was born. You can stop over at The Crochet Crowd to see the blanket Mikey stitched up.

This scarf uses a time frame of 112 days - Sept. 1 to Dec 22, because that was when I got married (anniversary is Dec 22, 2001). But you can choose any dates or days you wish, we suggest using any dates that are a multiple of 4 so the pattern stitches work out nicely.

Our scarf has the location of Denver, Co. You will use the temperatures for the location you wish and you will plot out your colors accordingly. You can find temperatures for your location and date at : wunderground.com

You can use any needles, any yarn, and any colors. Not to mention, you can make it as colorful as you wish by sectioning off the temperatures and colors as needed. I used 9 sections of 4 different O’Go’s.*
