This shawl is worked sideways, getting gradually wider, uses simple lace and short rows. Like many shawls worked in this manner, gauge is not paramount as long as you like your fabric.

I used up both of my Half-Pint skeins, roughly the equivalent of half a skein of sock yarn; this design would also be suitable for using leftovers.
