The smallest details can make the greatest impact. Long lines of petals are perfectly integrated in the structure of these unisex socks, adding a delicate, graceful note without taking over.

Cardamine’s petal motif emerges from the twisted rib cuff, changing direction above the ankle and then splitting at the heel flap. Seven sizes ensure that these socks can fit anyone from toddler to large adult. The sock is worked from the top down in the round with a round heel. Cardamine stitch pattern instructions are both written and charted.

This knitting pattern includes written directions, chart and written instructions for stitch pattern, and front and back images.

Substitution Notes
Choose a fingering weight sock yarn. Look for a tight twist, multiple plies for a sock that will last. A wool blend with either nylon, mohair or silk makes for a sturdy yarn. The decorative twisted stitch pattern will look best in solid colours.

Techniques
Knitting in the round, increases/decreases, twisted stitches, basic cuff down sock construction, heel flap, picking up stitches.
