This hat was intended to be a slouch, but as I was creating it, I noticed how cool the inside of it looked and realized that it just HAD to be a reversible hat. So, as I was thinking of a cool name for it - I wanted something that represented something that was changeable. I thought of the character Rumpelstiltskin in Once Upon a Time. Moreover, I thought of the actor who portrays him, and the many different versions of Rumple/Mr. Gold that he plays. There is Rumple, in his pre-dark one years who is a completely nice guy but also a coward. There is Rumpelstiltskin the Dark One. There is Mr Gold the much feared and powerful Pawn Shop owner. And finally there is Mr Gold the weak when he loses his powers. Robert Carlyle is AMAZING at concocting the potions to portray the many facets of his character’s personalities!

And so - that is where I got the name for a hat that can be worn right side out as a slouch hat, or inside out with the band flipped up as a beanie :)
