Carmen Classic Cardigan

A completely simple and classic cardigan, the type of cardigan you always need in your wardrobe. Carmen is knitted in Önling No 1, a soft yarn that gives a wonderfully soft and beautiful cardigan. A true Favorite Knit… nothing less.

The pattern both explains how to knit Carmen top-down or from side to side. Top-down knitting also explains how to steek and cut.

Designed by Katrine Hannibal for Önling.

Procedure
The cardigan is made in the round, top down, with extra stitches for the steek at the center front. Start by knitting back and forth while making increases for raglan, sleeves and at the beginning of every row to shape the neckline. Afterwards, cast on stitches for the neck, as well as 15 extra stitches for steeking, and gather into a round. The yoke is made with increases at raglan. Hereafter the work is divided and both sleeves and body are worked separately. The body has a slight a-shape, which can be omitted.
