ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Carnaúba Hat is a fun and interesting hat pattern, worked in a basket-weave cable stitch pattern in the round from brim to crown.

SIZES
Baby (Toddler, Child) [Adult S/M, M/L] to fit head with 14 (16, 18) [21, 23]”/35 (40, 45) [52.5, 57.5] cm circumference.

YARDAGE
130 (150, 170) [200, 220] yd/120 (140, 160) [180, 200] m of DK weight yarn.

Sample features Anzula Lucero DK 80% superwash merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% sparkling stellina in colorway Hippo.

NEEDLES
4 mm/US 6 circular needles with 16”/40 cm, or size needed to obtain rib 2x2 gauge;

6 mm/US 10 circular needles with 16”/40 cm and small circular needles, double pointed needles, or preferred method for knitting small circumferences in the round, or size needed to obtain cable gauge.

NOTIONS
blocking tools of your preference, cable needle, crochet hook (optional), scissors, spare needles for provisional cast-on, stitch markers, one in contrast color for BOR, tapestry needle, waste yarn.

GAUGE
26 sts x 32 rounds in 4”/10 cm in 2x2 rib unstretched using smaller needles;
