Wrap your little one in cozy, handmade comfort with the Cascade Child Crochet Cardigan — a classic, top-down raglan crochet cardigan pattern designed for everyday wear. With sizes from 1 year to 12 years, this child cardigan pattern is perfect for making matching sibling sets, special-occasion outfits, or a go-to cozy lathey’lly’ll reach for all season long.

This cardigan is worked top-down in rows in the traditional raglan style, which means it’s built right onto itself — no tricky seaming needed. You’ll start at the neckline and increase along the raglan lines to shape the yoke, then divide for the sleeves and body. From there, it’s smooth stitching down to your desired length. The sleeves are built directly onto the body, making construction simple, satisfying, and easy to try on as you go.

And the best part? This design is all about creativity and customization. Make it long or cropped. Add a hood or keep it classic. Want pockets for tiny treasures? Add them! You can personalize the finishing details to match your kiddo’s style and your handmade vision. An adult version is also available for Mommy & Me matching styles!

A video tutorial is included. (Shown in Adult size small)
