We love cables and wanted an afghan that included a unique way of creating them-and what better way than a diagonal cable pattern. each square is knit with a splendid cashmere-blend yarn to make the completed afghan warm and luxuriously soft.

Since the yarn is very fine, two strands of the same color are held throughout in knitting the cable blocks. There will be eight cable blocks in eight rows for a total of 64 blocks in the afghan.
