Cassandra Headband
The headband is worked back and forth from the provisional cast on. A part of the pattern is worked according to the chart. Row-by-row written instructions are provided for the chart. The cast on and cast off edges are grafted using Kitchener stitch for knit and purl stitches. The tutorial for Kitchener stitch is included.

Skill level: Intermediate
Size: width: 12 cm (4.7’’), circumference: 48 cm (18.9’’) (to fit head circumference 53-58 cm (20.8’’ – 22.83’’))
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over Stockinette st using 5 mm needles.
Techniques used:
- provisional cast on;
- Stockinette stitch;
- cables;
- knit through the back loop;
- purl through the back loop;
- Kitchener stitch for knit and purl stitches (tutorial included).
Suggested Yarn:
- 50 g of Drops Nepal (65% wool, 35% alpaca; 75 m/50 g) in Aqua Blue (col 8908);
- 1.5 m waste yarn for provisional cast on.
Needles and Notions:
- 5 mm needles;
- 5 mm crochet hook for provisional cast on;
- cable needle;
- 2 stitch holders or waste yarn;
- tapestry needle;
- 2 stitch markers.
