The Cassiopeia shrug is a beautiful and elegant lightweight shrug that is perfect for special occasions. Beaded bottom rows on the sleeves and across the back add an extra element of sparkle and really help this shrug stand out. The pattern was designed to use a single 100g/ 400m skein of hand dyed yarn but works equally well in any 4ply or sock weight yarn (a second skein of yarn would be needed should you wish to make the pattern full back length in UK sizes 14 and above). You could use a silk blend, cotton or bamboo for fantastic stitch definition, or an alpaca yarn which makes this shrug remarkably warm. It is a very versatile shrug and by simply leaving off the beaded bottom rows, you also have a great garment for every day wear.

The shrug is designed to be mid back length and the pattern is written in UK sizes 8-20, however additional instructions are included should you wish to make the shrug full back length or in alternative sizes.

The pattern is written in US crochet terms.
