This is a thick 2-ply potholder knit in the round on one circular needle. The disadvantage of cotton being a difficult knit is offset by the fact that maintaining stretch is not a factor in a potholder and the ridge that can form between needles in one circular needle knitting is an asset for this pattern. This may be a good beginning pattern for those who have never knitted with 2 strands or on one circular needle.
