Twisted stitches add texture and character to the Catalina Shawl. The shawl begins with a twisted-rib pattern broken by garter ridges, then flows into a lace pattern interspersed with twisted stitches. Yarn Ancient Arts Yarns 50/50 Lace (50% super wash merino wool, 50% silk; 860 yd 786 m/3½ oz 100 g): golden retriever, 1 skein.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
