This pattern will be listed free through Friday, November 25.

The cowl is made with two colors of fingering alpaca yarn. Sock yarn would also be appropriate.

The bird and cat designs are Inca patterns.

My intention was to work a cowl that would fit around the neck, not too snug but also not too loose to let in cold air.

It can be worked longer by increasing the ribbing or the solid color bands. For wider, use larger needles and sport weight yarn.
