Catching the Sun is designed with a minimum of shaping increases and decreases. So you may enjoy life on the terrasse or at the beach or even in the forest while knitting this one. You will not have to spend much time studying the pattern. So simply catch the sun and enjoy the lovely silk and merino yarn.
This top is worked bottom-up and worked back and forth in twisted rib pattern. It is not possible to work this pattern in the round. You can seam the top midfront or sew in a zipper. the top can be zipped all the way up and then it has an O-neck. Or you can open it and turn it into a V-neck. See photos.

Circular needle 3 mm (US 3) 80 cm/ 32” and dpn.
Pattern: Twisted rib pattern
Row 1 (WS) K1 tbl, p1 on all sts.
Row 2 (RS) K1 tbl, p1 on all sts.
Gauge in twisted rib pattern on needle 3 mm (US 3):
34 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches
Make a swatch of 40 sts.
Check whether the center 34 sts measures 10 cm. You cannot count edge sts in a swatch as they act differently, when you measure your swatch. Save the swatch. Do not unravel. Instead use the swatch for a test of how this yarn acts when in laundry. Give the swatch the wash you plan for your knitting later on and see how it goes.
