Cat’s Eye came about when two particular balls of Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball together reminded me of the changeable colour of our beloved and very much missed cat Milo’s eyes. Our blue cat shares his eye colour and the stunning transitions of the yarn perfectly recreate the shimmering, reflective mesmerising beauty of their eyes. Crystal blue, deep sea green and chartreuse through and through.

SHAPE
Cat’s Eye is a triangular wrap that starts from a point and increases by a single stitch in width every two rows along the left side. Edged with I-cord along two sides, just two different colourways are used to create this almost tessellated visual effect.

SKILL/DIFFICULTY
Only one colour at a time is worked per row meaning that Cat’s Eye is far easier to knit than it looks with an easily memorised stitch pattern. If you can knit, purl, M1 (using the backwards loop cast on method) and slip a stitch then you can knit Cat’s Eye
