This is a perfect unisex classic ribbed hat with a couple of tricks up its sleeve. I wanted to create a good-fitting hat that never gets boring to knit.
The Cava beanie can be knit either bottom up or top down, and it includes instructions to be knit in 3 different weights of yarn: fingering-weight, sport-weight (fingering held with a strand of mohair), and DK (fingering held double), and three sizes.

A perfect stash buster: grab a mini skein, pretty fingering leftovers, and whatever mohair or alpaca is left in your yarn cabinet. It is going to look pretty no matter what! Relaxing, gorgeous, and so addictive to knit, you will not be able to resist casting on one after another.
