The CEDAR Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning with a folded neckband. Shoulder bands for the saddle shoulders are worked flat from neckband stitches and then stitches are picked up along the edges of the shoulder bands for the back and front. Shoulders and neckline are shaped with short rows for better fit. Back and front are worked flat separately to the underarm, then joined and worked circularly to the bottom hem. Finally, sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round slightly tapered to the cuffs.

The cable pattern of the CEDAR Sweater is easy to memorize, after the first repeat you basically don’t need to look at the chart or written instructions anymore. You can simply focus on enjoying your precious knitting time.

The pattern includes both written and charted directions.
