CEDRE got its name from the beautiful colorway CEDRE BLEU which I used for this sweater.

It is a seamless multi-directional sweater: first, the central cable panels are made and then the stitches are picked up along the central panels and worked towards the sleeves in a batwing shape. The pattern includes two length options to chose from.

The picture shows Long Version size 1 with 29 cm/11.5” of positive ease.

PATTERN NOTES:
• I recommend swatching for the cable pattern and if you notice that it is tighter than the stockinette stitch, please use larger needles for working the cable section of your sweater (therefore I suggest three needle sizes for this pattern, the largest one only for the cable section).
• The sweater has a multi-directional construction. First you make the central panel for front and back and then pick up stitches along the central panel and work towards the sides of the body and the batwing sleeves in St st for which I suggest needle size 2.5 mm/U.S. size 1.5 or the size needed to obtain the given gauge.
• Lastly, the cuffs, hem and neckband are worked in 2x2 ribbing with a smaller needle size (I suggest European size 2 mm/U.S. size 0 (1)).

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• basics (cast on/bind off, knit/purl, increase/decrease)
• working flat
• working in the round
• working from a chart
