Ceilte (Irish for ‘hidden’, pronounced ‘kel-teh’ or ‘kel-tche’ depending on dialect) is a cowl featuring a cable panel at the front, and garter stitch with short rows to the back. Inspired by the legends of Tír na nÓg and Hy Breasil, Ceilte uses cable motifs influenced by the description of these mythical places The pattern makes a generous sized cowl, with more coverage across the wearer’s front.
