Celtic Myths is a half circle shawl with a beautiful Celtic cable border.
The shawl will be worked top down, then we knit the border from one side to the other while fixing it to the body.

After blocking the shawl’s measurement will be approximately 180 x 50cm (70 x 19 inch).

There’s a custom size available!
It’s also possible to knit the shawl in fingering weight. If you like to knit in fingering you should take a smaller needle size, for example 3.5mm - 4mm. I’ve now written this up as a separate pattern: Celtic Myths Fingering
Make sure that the fabric is not too loose, so the cable will be nicer.

The ratio of the yarn consumption of the body and the border is about 1 ; 1.2 / 45% ; 55% ( i needed 90g (270m) for body and 110g (330m) for the border )
So the border needs some more yarn than the body .

Celtic Myths ist ein halbrundes Tuch mit einer wunderschönen, keltischen Zopfbordüre.
Das Tuch beginnt von der Mitte oben, danach wird die Bordüre von der Seite her an den Tuchkörper angestrickt.

Nach dem Spannen ist das Tuch ganze 180cm lang und 50cm tief.

Das Tuch ist individuell anpassbar an Grösse oder sogar Garnstärke.
Bei DK (250-300m/100g) 4 - 4.5mm
Bei FingeringWeight (400m/100g) 3.5 - 4mm
Achtung das Maschenbild sollte nicht zu locker sein, da der Zopf sonst etwas auseinanderfällt.

Das Verhältniss vom Garnverbrauch des Tuchkörpers und der Bordüre ist etwa 1;1.2 (90g (270m) für den Körper, 110g (330m) für die Bordüre beim abgebildeten Tuch)
Das heisst die Tuchbordüre braucht etwas mehr Garn als der Tuchkörper.

Celtic Myths est un châle en demi-cercle avec une bordure de torsade celtique.

Ce châle est tricoté top down, puis la bordure est tricotée d’un côté à l’autre en la fixant sur le corps.
Après blocage le châle mesure approximativement 180 cm x 50 cm (70 x 19 inch).
La taille de ce châle peut être personnalisée, la formule pour le faire plus grand ou plus petit est dans les explications.
Il est aussi possible de le tricoter en fingering, il vous faudra prendre une aiguille plus petite, par exemple 3.5 mm – 4 mm.
Assurez-vous que votre travail n’est pas trop lâche, afin que la torsade soit bien définie.

Le rapport de fil nécessaire entre le corps et la bordure est environ 1 :1,2 (90 g 270m) pour le corps, 110 g (330m) pour la bordure) c’est-à-dire environ 45% pour le corps et 55% pour la bordure.
