Overview
In order to complete this project the knitter will be required to use stranded color work work, knitting in the round, working decreases such as k2tog, and ssk, as well as shaping the crown of the hat while using double pointed needles.

Heavy Merino by Knitting for Olive 100% Merino Wool 125m/137yd (50g/1.76oz) 1 ball each of Off White (A), Dark Ochre (B), and Deep Petroleum (C) for the small hat and 1 ball each of Off White (A), Slate Green(B) and Rust (C) for the large hat.

For both sizes, approximately 100 yds for the brim and 70 yds for each color of the body of the hat. The larger size uses slightly less yarn because it is knitted on larger needles.
