“Chameleon” is a “Classic with a twist” kind of shawl.

As the name suggests it changes appearance depending on the way it is worn. Fold it along one diagonal and show off the stripes, turned round and present the solid colour or have it both at the same time!

“Chameleon” is knitted in a lace weight Posh Yarn Sylvia 2Ply 50%merino/50% silk (100g/800yards) and in two colours (light blue “Angelic” 512 yards; and green “Universe” 760 yards).

The main square is knitted on the diagonal in garter stitch with first half striped and the second plain. The stitches are then picked up and the lacy border knitted in the round.
The serrated edge is also knitted in the round using short row technique.

The pattern is written and the lace border also charted and good for intermediate skill level.

The colour possibilities are endless. Choose your favourite and have fun with it!
By knitting just one “Chameleon” shawl you will get 3 instead - stripy, solid or mixed!
