Changing Tides Cowl
The Changing Tides Cowl, a long cowl inspired by ripples in the water as the tide changes, starts with a provisional cast-on and is worked circularly in a tube. The ends are grafted together seamlessly using the garter-stitch circular grafting method.

Finished Size 61” circumference and 12½“ wide.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend (70% extrafine Merino wool, 30% silk; 150 yd 137 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #3036 Mallard, 7 skeins (see Notes). Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); 3 removable m; spare size 9 (5.5 mm) or smaller 16” cir needle; size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO and to be used as a stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 20 sts and 22 rnds = 4” in charted patt.

NOTES
- This cowl begins with a provisional cast-on and is worked circularly to form a tube, then the ends of the tube are grafted together in garter stitch using the circular grafting method.
- The sample used all of 7 skeins of yarn. Purchase an extra skein for a longer cowl.
